At the special event, Consul General Wang Dong and the Governor of Mantua Province, Mr. Alexander Bastacci, also awarded the Gold Medal of Stone Sculpture Art awarded by the World Expo to the four stone sculpture artists Wu Shizhao, Ye Jianhai, Chen Lixin, and Wu Songlin who participated in this special stone sculpture display. They also watched the live stone carving performances of two outstanding young and middle-aged representatives of Qingtian stone carving masters, Ye Jianhai and Chen Lixin. They were amazed by the uncanny workmanship and superb skills displayed by Qingtian stone carving art. The Vice Chairman of the Italian Chinese Enterprises Association also expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Consulate General in Milan for its support of this event on behalf of the Qingtian Presidents’ Alliance of Overseas Chinese Associations in Italy and presented a souvenir to Ms. Wang Dong, the Consul General.
