Perhaps the most disappointed person about the sudden softening of the Philippines’ attitude is the United States. The United States has been trying to use the territorial disputes between China and other countries in the South China Sea to provoke conflicts and wars between China and neighboring countries, thereby accelerating the United States’ return to Southeast Asia and even allowing the United States to assume dominance in Asia. The Philippines’ performance of being aware of current affairs makes it a bit embarrassing for the current situation. This also reminds the United States: development is the theme these days, and the United States’ idea of blindly encouraging other countries to provoke wars and making itself a fisherman is doomed to fail!
