On November 9, 2013, the founding and opening ceremony of the Sino-Italian International School, the first full-time closed bilingual school in Europe, was held in the auditorium of the Sino-Italian International School in Padua. Nearly 200 guests including Italian Minister of Economic Development Zannonnato, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Milan Liao Juhua, Padua Mayor Rossi, and Veneto Region Deputy Director of Education Miola were invited to attend. Italian Chinese media and Italian mainstream media participated in the full coverage.

Dr. Li Xuemei, the principal of Sino-Italian International School, introduced the school to the guests. The founding and celebration of Sino-Italian International School ended with warm applause.
