The IL-14 aircraft on display at the China Aviation Museum not only expresses people’s memory of the revolutionary leader, but also witnesses Chairman Mao’s life activities, so it is regarded as a treasure of the museum.

In addition, other aircraft that Chairman Mao has flown include: C-47 (No. 476650) when he participated in the Chongqing negotiations on August 28, 1945; Li-2 when he went to Guangzhou for an inspection on May 3, 1956. (No. 8205); Il-18 (No. 232) that flew from Hankou to Shanghai on July 21, 1967.
